Scouting Charts

As a coach of a program that plays recurring players/teams it's extremely important to keep records of players. Having a notebook of scout sheets from previous games, and tournaments is vital to competing at a high level. I have placed up to 12 at bats with room for pitch progressions and baserunning spots. Using these sheets will reveal tendencies, and having a spray chart, or an idea of where they do hit the ball can help steal an out here or there.

While I do use the Individual player scout sheet, I personally prefer what I call a "one sheet" for in game use. I transcribe the tendencies, and what I feel are a couple of key notes onto this sheet, and use this to make adjustments. This is an easy way to not have to flip through multiple pages hitter by hitter.
